Work while studying  in the Canada

  1. As per the represent regulations students have the permissions to work off-campus 40hrs/week. They will be subjected to the same rules and regulations as the citizens of Canada.
  2. A lot of the students go to Canada for their dual programs where the internships are mandatory. In this scenario you can always talk to the campus ambassador or the authority about the work regulations and the respective permissions. 

Common requirements for off campus job

  • You should possess the passport and you should be able to prove that you are a student.
  • Some employers may ask you to show documents that prove you study in a Canadian school. 
  • Employers may ask you for your Social Insurance Number. 

Process to get an on-campus job:

In case of an on-campus job no work permit is required. Generally the work limit is 20hours/ week but it can be subject to change.
